A day later, the biggest religious festival of Muslims is the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Citizens of the capital have started moving towards the villages. As usual on Tuesday (April 10) at noon, passenger buses are leaving from Titipara, Maniknagar and surrounding areas at specific times. However, common passengers have to suffer from traffic jams from Maniknagar to Syedabad.
It can be seen on the surface, usually Himachal, Lal Sabuj, DB Dream Line, Star Line Ekush buses are lined up in these areas since morning. After 10 to 15 minutes the buses are leaving for various destinations including Chagalnaia, Basurhat Feni Sonaimuri, Companyganj, Chauddagram. The counters were not overcrowded that day. There is no overcrowding of passengers. Women, men, children, elderly all come here with relief and buy tickets from the counter and board the bus.
Dream Line Transportation Manager. Suman said, 200 to 250 vehicles are leaving from here every day on the occasion of Eid from morning to late night. Rent is being charged as before. No extra fare is being claimed on the occasion of Eid.
Talked to a passenger named Zakia Sultana. He said, came to the counter and got the ticket, brother, I feel very good. No fuss. I am going home with my husband and children.
Talked to private employee Sharafatullah on TTTpara Star Line. He was saying that every Eid he goes to the village with his family. This is a long holiday, the journey will be very comfortable compared to other times.
According to the passengers, the car is leaving at a certain time, and getting tickets even after coming to the counter. There is no additional rent to be paid at the counters. Also the buses are leaving the stand full. The trend of passengers leaving Dhaka was high from Tuesday morning. This pressure will increase after evening.
Meanwhile, hundreds of buses, mini buses, private cars, CNG, rickshaws from Maniknagar towards Saidabad were stuck and there was severe traffic jam. The traffic police say that this situation will continue till moon night. However, efforts are being made to quickly decongest the road.
