Bangladesh Awami League has reached the end of its tolerance and patience, said advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, a member of the presidium of the party, saying, ‘Now is not the time to sit at home. The party has decided to put up a tough resistance against the perpetrators of terror and anarchy on the streets. Wherever there is, the anti-national evil force Jamaat-BNP must be prevented.’
Calling upon the parents, he said, ‘Don’t get confused by the propaganda and rumors of BNP-Jamaat terrorists. Keep your children at home.’
He said these things at a press conference at the Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi, capital, on Sunday (August 4). Central leaders of Awami League were present at this time.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, ‘I will take the countrymen with me and confront the BNP-Jamaat terrorist group. I will appeal to the patriotic people including all the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Awami League, now is not the time to sit at home. Wherever there is, the anti-national evil force Jamaat-BNP must be prevented.’
He said, ‘We have to come down to the streets for suppression in a peaceful way. We will not tolerate the flourishing of terror and anarchy to the last drop of blood. We have to be united in the spirit of the great liberation war for Bangladesh’s freedom, sovereignty, democracy, constitution and security of life and property.’
Bangladesh Awami League has already decided to fight hard against those who create terror and anarchy on the streets, said this leader of Awami League, “The agitating leadership will have to take responsibility for the situation and all the killings.” Do not destroy the stability of Bangladesh in the name of movement. Do not destroy state property. We don’t want terror, we want peace. Everyone should behave responsibly.’
I would like to say to the BNP-Jamaat militant group, we have reached the last limit of patience in loving this country. Patience is not our weakness. We strongly appeal to the countrymen to resist this militant group.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, ‘Today this terrorist group has not spared even Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital. They attacked and set fire there and attacked and vandalized the CMM court in Dhaka. This inhumane attack on the hospital proves that these are not students. Those who are doing violence today are not students. They are armed cadre forces of BNP-Jamaat-Chhatra Dal-Shibir and militant groups.’

The government is tolerant to any demands of the student community, he said, saying, ‘Those who are occupying the streets, I request them to go back home. We want to tell the students that the present government is tolerant to any demands of the students. All the demands of the students have been met.
He said, ‘The Hon’ble Prime Minister has kept the doors of Ganobhaban open for discussion with students. The government is committed to listening to any of their views. But, the farmers-workers, students-people of Bangladesh will not accept the conspiracy to overthrow the current government by placing a friend on the shoulder of the student society.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, ‘This movement to overthrow the government is not of students. The one-point demand for the fall of the so-called government is of the power-abnegatory, anti-national BNP-Jamaat conspirators.
