Sri Lanka, one of India’s neighbors, is stuck in an unprecedented economic crisis. The economic crisis also led to political turmoil in the country. As a result, Gotabaya Rajapakse resigned from the presidency.
Ranil Wickramasinghe is holding office as the President of Sri Lanka with the support of all parties. He is leading various initiatives to rescue Sri Lanka from economic crisis.
Ranil Wickramasinghe, who met the trade union representatives in Sri Lanka, said: – We all know that Sri Lanka’s economy is in complete disarray. So I am well aware of the difficulties the country is facing. The number of workers has also fallen. Inflation has increased. The cost of living has gone up. As a result, their lifestyle has changed.
It is useless to talk about the root cause of the economic problem. The only option now is to get funding from the International Monetary Fund. Otherwise we will not be able to recover from the economic crisis,” he said.
