While women like Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski and Gigi Hadid have taken street style and elevated it to an art form, there’s only one woman right now who can step out of the house in a stained sweatshirt and still deliver an iconic paparazzi shot. Her name is Katie Holmes, and no matter how many paparazzi are waiting for her outside a building in Manhattan, she will wear whatever she wants.
In the latest photos of Katy on the streets of New York, she is hanging out with her new boyfriend, Bobby Wooten, a composer about whom not much is known, but according to the amount of smiles that Katy scatters everywhere whenever he is near her – we are totally in favor of him.
Apart from smiles, Katy gave us another fashion moment, with an oversized brown overall in an apron cut – an item we didn’t know could look so chic until we saw it on Katy, which is of course her specialty.
While we’re at it, let’s give Katy a shout out to a few more outfits from the past couple of weeks, all seemingly everyday and simple. We especially liked the jeans with the front pockets that were combined with a black golf shirt and excellent sneakers, which accompanied the next outfit in line – jeans in a straight cut and very nineties with a white T-shirt, a black blazer and large colorful earrings.
In between, Katy was mostly spotted in old, stained and wrinkled sweatpants. If any other star had gone out on the street like this, we might have been worried, but in Katy’s case it is a significant part of her New York charm, and if there is one thing that the Corona period has taught us, it is that even leaving the house in a sweatshirt you slept in can be completely chic – it all depends on the attitude.
