Commissioner of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). ATM Tarikuzzaman said, ‘Irregularities or discrimination in the capital market will no longer exist. Law is equal for all. We are working on how to enforce the law for everyone. The law will apply to all.’

He said this in an exchange meeting with journalists at the Securities Commission building in Agargaon of the capital on Sunday (August 25) afternoon. BSEC Chairman Khandkar Rashed Maksud, Mohsin Chowdhury and Executive Director Anwarul Islam were present at this time.

BSEC Commissioner said, ‘Mutual funds are important for the capital market. At the same time, it is important for investors. We have seen that there have been some irregularities in mutual funds in the capital market. There was disparity in the area of ​​laws or regulations relating to mutual funds. We will try to eliminate that in the future. Those discriminatory laws and regulations will be reviewed. We will identify and resolve the discrepancies that have occurred in mutual funds.’

ATM Tarikuzzaman also said, ‘We have many laws. We need to review how market friendly or investor friendly they are. Then there will be no more discrimination. We have a promise to build a fair, beautiful, orderly and well-governed capital market, the application of the law must be correct. We emphasize that good governance will be ensured in the capital market. It will be shown by action, not just by word of mouth. Then the disparity in the capital market will be removed and investors’ confidence will return.’
