Excessive temperatures will accelerate the development of late crops, rainfall can cause diseases in grapes and vegetables

On most days of the first ten days of September excessive heat conditions are predicted, which will accelerate the last phases of the development of late agricultural crops. During this period, waxy and full maturity will be observed in the mid-late hybrids of corn, and milky and transition to waxy maturity in the late ones.
At the beginning of the second ten-day period, the agro-meteorological conditions will undergo a change. Until the middle of the third ten-day period, they will be determined by unsustainable weather and temperatures close to climatic norms. During this period, rains of economic importance are predicted, which after the deepening drought will improve the conditions for carrying out the pre-sowing treatments of the areas intended for sowing with autumn seeds. Until the end of the second ten days of September is the optimal agrotechnical term for sowing winter rapeseed.
In the second ten days, corn and late hybrids will complete their development, rice will be waxy and fully mature. The predicted frequent rainfall during the second and first half of the third ten-day period will increase the risk of development of pathogens causing rot on the ripening fruit and vegetable crop – gray rot on grapes (Botrytis cinerea), late brown rot (Monilinia fructigena) on the fruits of autumn-winter varieties fruit trees, potato blight (Phytophthora infestans) on late production tomatoes, etc.
In the second half of the third ten-day period, dry weather and suitable conditions for harvesting the grape harvest are expected. As a result of the abnormal summer temperatures, some of the later wine grape varieties will reach technological maturity earlier than usual.
At the end of September, it is desirable that the pear plantations should be inspected for the presence of a dangerous pest – the pear bud borer. The fight against this enemy is effective only against adult individuals at the beginning of autumn. If the density of the pest is above the threshold of economic harm (3 beetles per tree), treatment is necessary.
In September, critical minimum temperatures are not predicted and the conditions will allow the formation of additional production from the late vegetable crops subject to salinization.
