Apparently Prograis boasted lulling Devin Haney because there is no other way to defend his WBC super lightweight championship belt. The duel between the two American boxers will be held this weekend. “There was no other way for me not to put Haney to sleep,” said Regis Prograis.
Devin Haney knows he’s working hard to make his fortune. For this man who is only 25 years old, his body feels like it is getting bigger every day.

After back-to-back wins over George Kambosos Jr. to become undisputed champion, Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) put the finishing touches on his lightweight title reign with a win over Vasiliy Lomachenko.
With nothing left to prove at that point, Haney opted to move up. Looking at his name, he could choose to make his super lightweight debut against anyone. However, there was something about the match against Regis Prograis that Haney liked.

Now, after a grueling training camp, Prograis believes Haney has made the biggest mistake of his young career. “There’s no way Haney isn’t sleeping,” Prograis said recently in a video he recorded himself.

Haney was unmoved by Prograis’ threat. He just stared at him calmly as he planned to make him miss and simultaneously, make him pay.

Prograis, from a distance, had been observing Haney. You could even say that he has learned it. He knows that Haney will do his best to stay away from his dangerous left hand and stay on the outside.
