jpnn.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigation team examined two witnesses who allegedly have information about the investigation into the alleged corruption case involving fictitious investments at PT Taspen (Persero).

The two witnesses with the initials AGS and AATH were questioned by investigators on Friday (13/9) at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta.

“Witnesses were present and questioned regarding their knowledge and role in the investment made by PT Taspen,” said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika when confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday (14/9/2024).

From the information gathered, the witnesses were a private employee named Agus Suprianto and an advocate named Anthony Hutapea.

However, the KPK has not provided further explanation regarding the investigators’ findings in examining the witnesses or their roles in the investment activities currently being investigated by the KPK.

Previously, on March 8, 2024, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) announced that it had begun investigating a case of alleged corruption using the fictitious investment method at PT Taspen (Persero) and the placement of investment funds amounting to IDR 1 trillion.

The corruption case is also suspected of involving several other companies and is estimated to have caused state financial losses of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah.

The KPK investigation team has also named a number of parties as suspects in the case.
