Apple is set to launch the <a href="https://time.news/new-unboxing-video-allegedly-reveals-unannounced-m4-macbook-pro-benchmark-results/" title="New unboxing video allegedly reveals unannounced M4 MacBook Pro, benchmark results”>M4 Mac lineup next week, featuring a series of press releases that Apple marketing executive Greg Joswiak describes as an “exciting week of announcements.” These products may soon be unavailable for purchase at the Apple Store, marking significant updates across their device range.
M3 MacBook Pros
The tech giant is anticipated to unveil new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros equipped with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips. Aside from the chip enhancements, the new MacBook Pro models remain largely unchanged. However, the base model will likely now come with 16GB of RAM, and an additional Thunderbolt port is expected to be added, bringing the total to three.
According to recent packaging leaks and unboxing reports, the least expensive 14″ MacBook Pro featuring the base M4 chip will debut in Space Black for the first time, marking a farewell to the classic Space Gray finish of the M3 model.
M2 Mac mini
This month will witness the largest redesign of the Mac mini in 14 years, showcasing a more compact design and front-facing ports. Apple last refreshed the Mac mini in January 2023, featuring M2 and M2 Pro chips. The upcoming redesign will likely include M4 and M4 Pro options, making way for a modernized aesthetic.
M3 iMac
A refresh of the iMac is also expected this month, transitioning from the M3 chip to the M4 chip. This update is anticipated to be incremental, although there are indications that the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad may switch from Lightning to USB-C, phasing out Apple’s long-standing proprietary connector.
If you are considering purchasing any of these products, it might be wise to wait for the upcoming Apple Event for the latest innovations.
