Theatres have been facing a massive drought for quite some time now, leading to a wave of concern in the entertainment industry. The industry started a series of re-releases with ‘Rockstar’ to draw audiences to theatres and the move was fortunately successful. This was followed by several new premieres including ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Dangal’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Partner’ and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun…’. With that said, there are a few films that are set to hit the theatres again in September. Let us explain. A recent report by ‘Bollywood Hungama’ has revealed the line-up of September’s re-release films and it is full of excitement. First on their list are Shah Rukh Khan’s films ‘Pardes’ (1997) and ‘Veer-Zaara’ (2004) which are all set to make their way into our hearts. A BH source said, “Veer-Zaara will release on September 13. It will have select shows in theatres every day and shows will be increased based on demand.”

Their source further added that ‘Pardes’ is expected to release on September 20 or 27 and an official announcement regarding the same will confirm its release date. Mahima Chaudhry and Apoorva Agnihotri starrer ‘Pardes’ is a Subhash Ghai directorial. The veteran filmmaker’s other film ‘Taal’ (1999) will also return on September 20. It starred Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.
Madhuri’s ‘Tejab’ also re-released?
The report further states that fans can expect to see Madhuri Dixit grooving to her song ‘Ek Do Teen’. A BH source added, “Zee Studios is also seriously considering re-releasing Tezaab in the second half of next month.”
