Some of the affected victims have stated that they are required to pay a daily installment of principal plus interest. The Ministry’s campaign
The authorities are running a intensive campaign to minimize the victims of these loans. “They offer easy, fast money without paperwork, they are initially very attractive, but they have excessively high interest rates, for which reason the loans become impossible to pay, leading to forms of intimidation, threats, coercion and even violence. The victims are mostly natural persons and small merchants,” they indicated.
