With a sauna at home you benefit from several advantages. Think, for example, of the positive effect that a Finnish sauna can have on your health. The difference in temperature inside and outside a Finnish sauna means that your body produces more white blood cells, which have a positive effect on your immune system. You will therefore be less likely to suffer from a flu or cold. This is especially nice in the autumn and winter months, as many people have to deal with a deteriorated immune system during this period. Not only the fact that your immune system improves is a reason to consider purchasing a sauna. A sauna also offers you the space to retreat for a while; a moment to yourself after a busy day at work.
Choice of different types of saunas
When purchasing a sauna, you can choose from different variants. First of all, consider the difference between an outdoor sauna and indoor saunas. It depends on the space in the house, whether it is worth sacrificing a room to have the sauna installed. There is usually more space in the garden. Another difference is in the type of sauna, where a distinction is made between a classic Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. In a Finnish sauna the temperature is higher, as is the humidity. The latter is not experienced as pleasant by everyone, making the infrared sauna a good alternative. Experience it for yourself by visiting a nearby sauna. A third difference is in the size of the various saunas. With how many people do you want to be able to use this in the future?
Prevent unnecessarily high energy consumption
A sauna heater consumes a relatively large amount of energy if the sauna is unnecessarily spacious. Think of a sauna for four people, which you mainly use in practice with two people. Consider in advance to choose a sauna for two or maybe three people. This not only saves energy, but is also a more sustainable choice. Not unimportant: the sauna is rather warm when using the same sauna heater.
There are several shops where you can view the various saunas in the showroom. It gives you a good idea of the space that a two-person sauna offers you, compared to a four-person model. It helps you make an informed choice.
