Las Vegas Biotechnologically modified plants, smart toilet blocks and a BMW car that changes its color at the touch of a button: a number of technological innovations were presented at the leading tech trade fair CES in Las Vegas. The event came to an end on Sunday.

From the thousands of innovations presented, the Handelsblatt presented a few products that were particularly interesting.

Neoplants: Plants for clean indoor air

The Neo P1 is designed to clean the air in the room.

The French start-up Neoplants has manipulated a houseplant in such a way that it is said to clean the air in the room particularly efficiently. “It’s 30 times better than the best traditional houseplant,” said co-founder Lionel Mora. The company has thus created the most efficient way of natural air purification, Mora claimed.

The aim of the company is to create “plants with a function”. The houseplant Neo P1 is only the first step. It should be sold to end users for $179.
