The Health Superintendency released the figures of the increases that insurers will have and the details of the adaptation process.

The Health Superintendence referred to the process that will be carried out by the isapres that confirmed increases to their members in their health plans.

Along these lines, Superintendent Víctor Torres provided this Wednesday the details of the results of the verification that the agency carried out regarding said increases that will be applied by insurers.

The isapres that will raise their plans to the affiliates to the maximum

Finally, they will be eight isapres that will raise the prices of their plans.

The insurers that will apply the maximum limit are Cruz Blanca, Consalud and Nueva Masvidawhich will rise in a 7,4%. In addition to the closed isapre Insertwhich is linked to Codelco.

Behind them is Essential with 3.9%, Life Three with 2.5%, Hive with 2.4% y Banmedica with an adaptation of 0,6%.

What will the adaptation process be like?

Regarding how the process will be carried out, Torres started by saying: “This process is advanced compared to what usually happens (…) which happened in the month of March and was carried out in June, after the approval of the Law. of Public Sector Readjustments by Congress, and which aims to comply with the rulings of the Supreme Court.”

In this sense, he highlighted the publication of the Health Cost Indicator (ICSA) in the Official Gazette. “As you already knew last week, gave a figure of 7.4%, which indicates a first ceiling of increase for the 2024 process.he explained.

Regarding deadlines, The Isapres will have between March 1 and 10 to notify affiliateseither by email or a certified letter.

People, for their part, have time until may 31 to be able to request a change of plan equivalent to the base price they had before the adaptation, to be able to terminate the contract by signing a letter of disaffiliation from the isapre or opposing it, filing a claim with the Superintendence of Health, explained Víctor Torres.
