These are the leading candidates to be appointed judges in the Economic Court tomorrow

The Judicial Selection Committee will convene tomorrow (Thursday) to select judges for the Magistrates’ and District Courts in the various districts. This includes six candidates for the Economic Court in Tel Aviv and Haifa. Five of the standards will be in the court in Tel Aviv and another in Haifa.

Globes has learned that the five leading candidates to be elected to the Tel Aviv Economic Court are: Adv. Sigal Yaakovi, who currently serves as the official receiver and former acting director general of the Ministry of Justice; Adv. Kobi Sharvit, Head of the Litigation Department at the Herzog Office; Adv. Michal Rosen Ozer, partner in the Chen-Yaari-Rosen Ozer firm; Judge Ariel Zimmerman, who has served since 2012 as a judge in the Magistrate’s Court in Tel Aviv; Judge Dana Amir, who has been a judge at the Magistrate’s Court in Tel Aviv since 2014.

Globes also learned that the leading candidate to be appointed to the Haifa Economic Court is Judge Dr. Muhammad Ali, who has served as a judge in the Haifa District Magistrate’s Court since 2013.

As stated, the committee headed by Justice Minister Gideon Saar is expected to convene tomorrow.
