The cases have been confirmed by the official newspaper La Tabla.

The president of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of Caracas and substitute magistrate of the Constitutional Chamber of the TSJ, Cristóbal Cornieles; and the 4th Judge of Control against Terrorism, José Márquez, were the first two senior officials to be arrested.

The National Anti-Corruption Police (PNCC) also arrested two FANB soldiers.
