Maruti WagonR
Boxie hatchback (Best Boxy Cars) is number one in sales. Maruti WagonR seems to be in high demand. Maruti sold 19,729 WagonR cars last month. This is more than the 17,684 units sold in December 2020.
Maruti Swift
Maruti Suzuki Swift ranks second on the Maruti Suzuki Swift list. However, there has been a decline in sales compared to December 2020. Last month, Maruti sold 15,661 Swift cars, compared to 18,131 units in the same period last year. December sales figures are up slightly compared to November.

Maruti Baleno
The facelift version of the premium hatchback Maruti Baleno is set to hit the screens soon. However, the current model continues to provide good returns for the car maker in terms of sales. Last month, Maruti sold 14,458 units of the Baleno. At the same time, only 9,931 units were sold in the previous month. However, Baleno’s year-over-year sales figures are suffering.
Tata Nexan
The biggest thing in this industry is that Tata Motors has overtaken Hyundai Motor to become the second largest car maker in India. Much of Tata’s success last month may have been due to sales of its subcompact SUV Nexon car. Tata sold 12,899 units of the Tata Nexon in December. This is the highest sales ever. Sales of the Nexan have pushed the SUV to fourth place on the list. Tata sold 9,831 Nexan cars in November.

Maruti Ertiga
Maruti sold 11,840 Maruti Ertiga cars last month, up from 9,177 units last year. This is up from Maruti’s sales of 8,752 Ertiga cars in November last year.
Maruti Alto
Maruti’s older model Maruti Alto saw a drop in sales in December. The Alto was ranked sixth in the list of best-selling cars in India with 11,170 units sold last month. Sales of the Aldo have dropped significantly compared to the 18,140 units sold by Maruti in December 2020.
Maruti Desire
The Maruti Dzire is the only subcompact sedan on the list. Although sales figures are down significantly compared to last year, DZire’s performance is better in its segment. Maruti sold 10,633 Desires last month, compared to 13,868 units in the same month last year.

Hyundai Venue
Hyundai Venue has moved up to 8th place in the list. Hyundai sold 10,360 units of the Venue last month. Similarly, its sales in December 2020 were 12,313 units.
Maruti Vitara Presa
Maruti’s sub-compact SUV Brezza (Maruti Vitara Brezza) is expected to be the much-needed flagship car later this year. However, 9,531 units were sold last month. In December 2020, Maruti sold 12,251 units of the SUV, but last month its sales were 10,760 units.
Maruti Ego
Maruti’s utility passenger van Maruti Eeco has entered the list of top 10 best selling cars in India. Maruti Ego sold 9,571 units of vans last month, compared to 11,215 units sold in December 2020.
