The Ypsilon was also the only series that survived Fiat’s merger with Chrysler. First all other series were discontinued and in 2017 also the export. Since then, the only market for Lancia has been Italy. The only Ypsilon car that still sells well in its home country. The Lancia name has a good reputation. That’s probably why the Stellantis group wants to heave Lancia back onto the international car market. It is often said that history repeats itself. The three brands are to shake up the premium market in a cluster: in 2024 Lancia will introduce the first new vehicle, the Ypsilon, electrified, and from 2026 only all-electric innovations will follow. With the design study P+Ra HPE, the Italians are now showing where the journey should go optically. Although the electric coupé will never be built in this form, it does provide initial indications of the design of future models.
