National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has also issued an advisory regarding this. In the press release issued by NHAI, it has been said that users should get a new Fastag. Especially those users whose Fastag has been issued by Paytm Payment Bank, they should get it changed immediately.
The release said that in order to continue with the toll payment and avoid any kind of penalty, you should do so immediately. If you do not do this, you may have to make double payment. Therefore, it is very important that you change it today itself. The new advisory has come at a time when RBI has banned the service of Paytm Payment Bank.
Apart from this, IBI has also stopped Paytm Payment Bank Limited from accepting new payments. Now no user will be able to make fresh deposits in the bank after March 15. Earlier this deadline was fixed as 29th February, but later it was extended to 15th March. Along with this, RBI had asked NHAI to remove Paytm Payment Bank from the list of approved Fastag providers.

If any user has balance in Fastag, then he can also demand a refund in return. If he does not want to do this then he will have to immediately change the bank account of Fastag.
