While motorists will have to pay more for their journeys on the motorways, Le Figaro takes stock of the offers that allow you to save money.
In reaction to the increase in toll prices by an average of 4.75% on Wednesday, some motorway companies are inflating their reductions for motorists. The motorway concessions of Eiffage, APRR and AREA, offer, from this month of February, a reduction of 40% (instead of 20%) to subscribers who make at least ten round trips per month. Drivers do not have to do anything, they benefit from the discount directly on their season ticket. Those who travel by electric car are also entitled to a 5% reduction on all toll rates – and for all journeys – for a period of one year.
These reductions concern the tolls of the 2,320 kilometers of motorways belonging to APRR and AREA, ie 27% of the French network. The roads concerned, in red and pink on the map, are mainly in the east of France and on the outskirts of the metropolis of Lyon.

The Sanef/Sapn group, in orange and purple on the map, offers the same conditions. Its electronic toll offer “Frequency +“evolves to 40% reduction for drivers”cars or two-wheelers making at least ten round trips per month on the same route“. The initial offer was 30% off for twenty monthly trips. In all, 1807 kilometers of motorways are concerned, mainly in Normandy, in the north and east of France. The group is also setting up the “Electric +“, with a reduction of 5% on the toll rate”throughout 2023“. This applies to motorists holding a “Bip&Go» et «corresponds to the wish of the Sanef group to encourage the decarbonization of motorway traffic».

If the Eiffage and Sanef / Sapn groups had announced these measures in December, Vinci Autoroutes – in blue on the map – waited until January 30 to do the same. The company thus declared to make a gesture “for commuting» motorists in «blocking» the price of the majority of short journeys on its networks. Concretely, Vinci Autoroutes will contain the prices of its tolls “70% of journeys under 30 km». The “half of journeys under 50 kmand the bypass routes of 35 towns served by its network will also benefit from this measure, specifies the company.
Electronic toll subscribersUlys 30will also see their discount on the regular route of their choice increase from 30 to 40% for one year. And from 1is May, a 10% reduction on the electric charging of 60,000 terminals will be granted.
