Berlin – The start is on the weekend, more than 28,000 participants are expected. But the city is already being closed for the Berlin Marathon, which is taking place again after a year of forced Corona break. On the important east-west connection, Straße des 17. Juni, the first sections of the road are already closed to car traffic.
The construction work for the start and finish area of the marathon is already in progress at the Brandenburg Gate. Therefore, the Straße des 17. Juni between Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße and the Brandenburg Gate has been closed since Monday. To secure the event, this section is closed until September 27th (midnight). Ebertstrasse will remain open until Friday.
