These types of currency notes you buy are invalid!

by time news
We know that currency notes are not valid if they are torn or patched. But RBI identifies notes as ineligible according to 10 types of criteria. Let’s see what they are.

1. Pollution: This means that the currency notes are dirty or torn all over or in some places. Banks will decide whether to accept notes based on yellowing of the date note, excessive folding, dirt and loss of reflection on the unprinted parts of the banknote due to damage from continuous circulation.

2. Relaxation: Banknotes are unfit for use if their structure is damaged and their paper is loose

3. Folded Notes: Banknotes are invalid if their ends are folded or damaged by more than 1 square cm

4. Holes: Banknotes with perforations larger than 8 square millimeters are unfit for circulation

5. Tearing: It is something we all know that if the edges of rupees are torn, they are invalid.

6. Stains: Dirty notes are unfit for use

7. Distractions: If the numbers on the currency notes are crossed out to replace letters, the currency notes become invalid.

8. Crumpled/Folded Notes: If a currency note is folded or crumpled in such a way as to reduce the length or width of the original note, they are classified as invalid.

9. Discoloration: Banknotes are invalid if their ink is partially or fully affected by discoloration.

10. Driving: This is something we all know. If the torn portion of the currency notes is pasted using tape, paper or glue, the currency notes are invalid.
