Former commissioner José Manuel Villarejo has explained to ‘RAC 1’ what the figure of Florentino Pérez means for the law. In a wide-ranging conversation with journalist Jordi Basté, Villarejo commented that “Florentino Pérez already bribed referees before Barça did so. It is untouchable, first it was loot. He knows why.”
“Whoever dared to denounce Florentino would be suicidal,” he assured, before emphasizing: “It is impossible to prosecute anything that affects Florentino Pérez.”
For its part, Real Madrid responded, hours later, with an official statement in which they stated: “Florentino Pérez has ordered the immediate presentation of the corresponding judicial action against former commissioner Villarejo.”
