Back to school is scheduled for tomorrow and Prohibition is lifted
In a session of the Emergency Committee of the State Civil Protection Council, led by Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena, the decision was made to immediately reactivate all the economic activities of the entity.
This measure includes the return to classes as normal starting tomorrow and the gradual reactivation of public transport, which will begin this afternoon. In addition, Prohibition will be lifted starting at 5:00 p.m.

During the session, Governor Díaz Mena highlighted the collaboration of Yucatecan citizens, highlighting their “extraordinary culture of civil protection.”
The president recognized the effective response of the population during the evacuation work and the importance of continuing to promote the culture of civil protection in the community.
It was reported that, after a quick damage count, Yucatán presents a white balance after the passage of Hurricane Milton. However, the municipality of Celestún has suffered the greatest damage, with some areas still flooded.

At the end of the session, the Governor reiterated his gratitude to Yucatecan society, as well as the Armed Forces, the Navy and the Ministry of Public Security, for their work in the protection and well-being of the population.
