The first ever event “Traditional Fuel – Ride” is taking place today in Kyustendil. This is a joint project of the “Cafe Racer Club Bulgaria”, “Life on Wheels” and “Kyustendil has a heart” associations, reports BTA.

The opening began with an exhibition “Motor photography – a selected world collection” arranged in the lobby of the Drama Theater in Kyustendil and continued with “Traditional Fuel – Ride” on the central square “Velbuzhd”.

The event has a charitable purpose, which provides for the collection of BGN 180,000 for an ambulance with specialized equipment for the “Dr. Nikola Vasilev” Multispecialty Hospital for Active Treatment in Kyustendil, said Betina Georgieva from the organization “Kyustendil has a heart”.

“Our cause with the chairman of “Cafe Racer Club Bulgaria” Ivan Mushev and Betina Georgieva from “Kyustendil has a heart” is to collect the necessary amount for the purchase of a specialized ambulance for transporting patients to other health facilities in need of specialized assistance. After a meeting with the director of the local hospital, we found out that there is no such car in Kyustendil. I personally, having suffered an accident, am aware of how difficult it is to find such assistance. Our ambition is to raise the money for a specialized car,” Georgi Georgiev from “Life on wheels”.

The photographs, arranged in the hall of the Drama Theater in Kyustendil, are the work of world-renowned authors Ivo Ivanov and Stanislava Damyanova, who provided 46 of their shots for the charity event.

“The minimum price is BGN 250 per frame, but the idea is that everyone can give as much as they can and want above this price. In addition to the purchase of photographs, donations are also collected through a bank account, as well as through donation boxes placed today at the places of events in the city,” said Betina Georgieva.

“Our campaign will not stop here, it will continue in the future. The goal is to start today,” the organizers said.

The program of the event today included musical performances, a motorcycle parade, attractive performances. “We hope to collect the necessary amount by the end of the year. We believe we can achieve it,” said the organizers of the charity event.
