From November 1, a group of citizens of Sinaloa The collection of more than 236 thousand signatures will begin to request the organization of a consultation to revoke mandate against him Governor Rubén Rocha.
Given the insecurity crisis that the entity is experiencing, with an internal dispute of the Sinaloa Cartel, between the factions of the Measure itwho leads Ismael Mayito Gordo Zambaday Los Chapitosled by Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, the Ciudadanos Unidos por Sinaloa collective will promote the revocation consultation.
Miguel Angel Murillopromoter of that initiative, said that yesterday the electoral authorities were given the demonstration of intention to organize that process, which will begin next month.
In an interview with 24 HORAS, he stated that they must collect more than 236 thousand valid signatures, which means 10% of the Nominal Listand the support must be dispersed in half of the municipalities.
“We decided to stick to the initiative, which (the former president) ordered in his time. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to evaluate our governor, because the situation we are experiencing right now is regrettable, it is critical, in an ungovernable state, with great fear, violence, a very big crisis,” he noted.
The arrest of Ismael El Mayo Zambada, last July, unleashed an internal war in the Sinaloa Cartelwhich has resulted in more than 170 homicides and a record number of 200 missing people.
Coupled with the crisis of violence, the activist stated that ungovernability in the entity has also had economic repercussions. “The restaurants are closed, the nightlife is over and it is very unfortunate.”
He asserted that there are civil organizations from all municipalities interested in promoting the consultation to revoke the mandate against Governor Rocha Moya, who was involved in the case of El Mayo Zambadabecause in a letter, already detained in the United States, the boss related that he was deceived by the children of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán that he would have a meeting to mediate with the elected federal deputy, Héctor Cuén, in a dispute.
However, the Sinaloan president argued that it was a lie, because he was in the United States, while Héctor Cuén was murdered the same day they caught May and, according to investigations by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and his own version Ismael Zambadain the same place where the capo was kidnapped.
“It will be the people’s decision whether we remove it or leave it, the first thing is that they ask us for signatures equivalent to the 10% of the Nominal List“, said.
Citizens have three months to collect signatures and the Electoral Institute of Sinaloa will decide if they are appropriate to, where appropriate, give way to the organization of the consultation, in which the vote of 40% of the Nominal List is required for it to be binding and the governor’s mandate to be revoked.
Miguel Angel Murillo He stated that he sees a probability that Rocha Moya will resign before organizing the revocation consultation.
“Power is not a flu, it is not easy to let go, as Manuel Clouthier said, you have to snatch the cob from the pig’s mouth.”
Finally, he pointed out that he himself voted for the governor of Morena and like him there are thousands of citizens who are disappointed in their Government and would be willing to participate in the consultation.
