In the video, the elderly woman is seen waiting her turn when the criminals enter the establishment, take a seat in front of the victim and, after a few minutes, take out firearms to threaten both the woman and her companion, demanding that they hand over the money.

One of the hooded individuals demands the elderly woman’s purse, however, the woman resists, despite her daughter’s instructions.

The assailant roughly struggled with the woman over the bag containing the money, leaving it on the ground. Given the woman’s little intention to let go of the bag, the criminal began to kick and threaten the women.

Meanwhile, the second subject kept the rest of those present under threat with his gun, making sure that no one intervened. In a matter of seconds, they managed to escape with the stolen amount.

The video caused an investigation on social networks. Users questioned the security of the notary office by allowing cash transactions of large sums. Some expressed concern about the growing insecurity in the country.

The assailants left the scene. Local media indicate that the response of the Public Security authorities was late, arriving at the scene more than an hour after the incident, despite the fact that the headquarters is located a few blocks from the notary’s office.

In a previous report, Armando Ruíz Solís, municipal president of Libres, stated that he had allocated 96 million pesos to security issues. However, residents maintain that the strategy has not been effective, as insecurity continues to rise in the state.
