They award Vins and Licors Grau as the best independent distributor

The XVI edition of the business awards «Wine Markets and Distribution» celebrated at the headquarters of the Community of Madrid awarded the company, this Tuesday Wines and Spirits Grau as in best independent distributor of the country. The gala, organized by this leading publication in the sector, distinguishes the best companies of the vi sector for sixteen years. In the same category, they were nominated as finalists together with Vins i Licors Grau, the Bodeteca and the Catalan company Vila Viniteca.

The other company with appellation of origin from Emporda to take the highest distinction, it was Peralada Groupin the category of better wine tourism management, where they competed with Abadía Retuerta and Bodegas Marqués de Riscal.

Jordi Grau, co-owner of Vins i Licors Grau together with his wife Maria Dolors Segarra, also present at the gala, collected the award on behalf of the whole Grau family thanking the recognition received -“for so many years of dedication to an exciting world in which we will undoubtedly continue to work with the same will and energy”-. Likewise, Jordi Grau dedicated a few words to -“ each and every winemaker, winemaker, oenologist for their work and commitment to the world of distribution and with Wines and Liquors Grau in particular. A company from the small town of Palafrugell, province of Girona, which with great effort has tried to position itself among the best distributors from the country”-.

Grau closed his speech by congratulating the other nominees and awardees.

Representatives of Incavi, Asaja, Anged, Asedas, Interprofesional del vi de España, Spanish Wine Federation and ACES, among other organizations, were part of the jury for the awards.

The evening was attended by, among other authorities, the president of “Mercados del Vino y la Distibución” Mónica Muñoz, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture of the Community of MadridPaloma Tejero Toledo and the director general of the Food Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, José Miguel Herrero.
