The National Civil Police (PNC) has arrested a gang member and 11 minors in the department of Usulután, who were involved in criminal activities linked to the MS13 structure.
Among those arrested is Oscar David Avilés Rodríguez, alias “El Malo”, as well as other individuals identified with aliases such as “Sombra”, “Gordo”, “Negro”, “El Chele”, “Moreno”, “Monfi”, “ Pelón”, “Seco”, “Strange”, “Colocho” and “Lampi”.
These individuals were dedicated to creating graffiti with references to the gang in a school, a Health Unit and in the community’s old market. The Minister of Security, Gustavo Villatoro, declared that the PNC is one step ahead of these terrorist practices and is committed to neutralizing them.
“We are winning this #WarAgainstGangs and we are going to use all the resources of the State so that this evil is NOT inherited to new generations,” said Minister Villatoro.
