They capture an armed group that killed two paramedics and damaged ambulances in Celaya

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guanajuato reported on the night of this Wednesday, May 1, that it identified and captured the armed group which killed two paramedics and damaged three ambulances in Celaya.

On April 22, in the Valle del Real and Álamos neighborhoods, armed individuals on motorcycles overtook some paramedics, shot them and put their bodies into one of the ambulances. Later, they set fire to the units.

After the events, the Guanajuato Criminal Investigation Agency obtained information and elements of evidence that proved the intervention of this armed group in said criminal event.

Likewise, they mentioned that the detainees will be investigated to find out if they have participated in other criminal acts registered in the area.

For his part, the Public Ministry Agent is putting together an investigation folder in order to bring the accused before the authority.

So far, the State Prosecutor’s Office has not provided more details of the arrest of the armed group, as well as the number of detainees in the case in Celaya.
