With the aim of providing security to families this holiday season, the Government of El Salvador through the institutions that make up the National Civil Protection System. They carried out inspections at various hotels located on Las Flores beach, in the department of La Libertad.
Inspectors from the Fire Department and Civil Protection verified the inventory and maintenance of fire extinguishers, in addition to the liquefied petroleum gas connections, which must be isolated and with precautionary signs corresponding to flammable material.
“The objective of inspections in restaurants and hotels is to identify the risk of fire. After that, we make recommendations to eliminate them and guarantee people’s safety,” said the deputy director of the Fire Department, Erick Vásquez.
The Summer Plan, which covers various aspects of security for vacationers during Easter Week, contemplates the verifications of the various establishments and businesses on the conditions to avoid emergencies.
Another of the inspection points in the places located on Las Flores beach is the electrical system, smoke detectors and emergency lights. They also verify the application of the General Law on Prevention in Workplaces, which requires maintaining fire extinguishers and signage, according to decree 89.
