Within the past day, a total of 22 drivers were identified who got behind the wheel after using alcohol – 15 of them drove after using alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and 7 – with more than 1.2 per 1000, one refused testing. 7 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, seven refused testing, reports the Ministry of the Interior.

102,612 motor vehicles were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation for compliance with the Road Traffic Act for the period from October 18 to 24 of this year. 117,499 drivers and passengers were checked. 30,814 slips and 6,091 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations. Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers. Within the past week, a total of 171 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after drinking alcohol – of them, 103 drove after drinking alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand and 68 – with more than 1.2 per 1000, and 20 have refused testing. 90 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, 26 refused to be tested.

For the last nine days alone, the total amount received from imposed slips, penalty decrees and electronic slips is BGN 2,661,033.78.

Within the last 24 hours, 15,694 motor vehicles were checked. 17,845 drivers and passengers were checked. 4,375 slips and 900 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations. Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.
