Massive days of voluntary blood donations under the motto Your drop counts and the declaration of Ready Centers to the CubaTaxi and Copextel companies are some of the activities organized in the province in greeting to the 85th Anniversary of the Cuban Workers’ Central, a date that is celebrates January 28.
When exchanging with representatives of the media and workers of the Provincial Committee, Lisbeth Bermúdez Rodés, member of the CTC Secretariat in the territory, reported that on the 28th volunteer work will be carried out in all the municipalities, which will also be a tribute to the most universal of Cubans.
Likewise, the union leader updated on the political process of analysis and discussion of the 2024 technical-economic Plan, which runs from January 10 to February 29.
During this period, nearly 3,000 member assemblies must be held, in which more than 90,000 workers must participate.
According to Bermúdez Rodés, the search for alternatives, innovation and productive alliances constitute objectives of this process.
Adding to the revelry are the activities of the Health Workers Union, at the doors of its National Conference; the celebrations for the Food Industry Worker’s Day on January 25 and the day for the Commercial Worker’s Day, on February 4, whose headquarters were once again conquered by Güira de Melena.
The union movement in Artemisa is also preparing for the XXII Congress of the CTC, scheduled for 2025. The call for the conclave will be announced next week in Santiago de Cuba.
