Police and prosecutor investigate car incident involving doctor and her husband
The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating an incident involving Dr. Lilia Filipova and her husband. The incident occurred when a muscular man broke the window of Dr. Filipova’s car, with her 3-year-old child inside.
Dr. Filipova accused the authorities of covering up the case on Facebook. However, reports suggest there are two separate investigations underway: one focusing on the man’s actions, and the other on the doctor and her husband.
The scandal began at an intersection in Plovdiv. The two cars collided at a gas station. Dr. Filipova claimed the man hit her windshield, while the man claimed the doctor’s car came towards him, forcing him to protect himself.
Police collected blood samples from everyone suspected of driving. Dr. Filipova’s husband tested positive for alcohol at 0.5 per thousand, but it remains unclear if he was driving under the influence. The investigation also includes a case against the family due to their alleged arrogance.
Neither party involved has a criminal record. No charges have been filed, and the gas station security camera footage has not been reviewed.
