There are 5 days left until the start of the world championship for volleyball players under 17 years of age, which Bulgaria is hosting (August 24-31) with the capital halls “Levski Sofia” and “Hristo Botev”.
Our team is in Group A together with the teams of Spain, Chinese Taipei and Mexico.
The coaching staff led by the selector Teodor Bogdanov chose the captain of the team.
This is CSKA distributor Nikola Velikov. The second captain will be his teammate with the “Reds”, Alexander Dobrev.
The main stage of our team’s preparation is over, and in the next three days the first controls for the team are scheduled.
The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation organized an international friendly tournament with the teams of Brazil, Italy and Iran especially on the occasion.
The competition will be held (August 19-21) in the “Levski Sofia” hall, where the official matches from the World Cup for the “tricolors” will also take place. The tournament will be behind closed doors and fans will not be allowed.

There is only one question mark in our composition. Central blocker Nikolay Mihovski is recovering from a sprained ankle, but the staff hopes he will be ready for the official meetings. Mihovski was also part of Bulgaria’s squad for the U18 European Championship.
