With the aim of promoting access to education for children and young people throughout the country, the president and vice president of the Central Reserve Bank, awarded scholarships from the “I am a BCR scholarship” 2024 program.
The scholarships awarded are for technical and university studies to young people with limited economic resources who have outstanding academic performance.
«Starting today, all of you will benefit from the “I am a BCR scholarship” program, which has supported more than 5,000 young people. This program has the peculiarity that young people can decide which university they want to study at and also the career path,” said the head of the BCR, Douglas Rodríguez.
Of the 134 scholarships awarded this day, 89 will be for technical careers in training areas such as: software development, marketing, bilingual tourism, computing, automotive mechanics, among others.
Likewise, 45 of the scholarships are for university careers such as: electrical, industrial, computing and mechatronics engineering; degrees in communications, modern languages, international relations, tourism, economics and finance, among others.
