The official X account of the Internal Commerce of Cuba (MINCIN) refused to spread the rumor on social networks about “new changes” to the supply book and delivery of products.
The note talked about ending food products from the family basket that is controlled on the island, completely false information:
“We reject the news spread on social networks about the announcement regarding the elimination of food products from the basket of the regulated family. We ask the public to stay informed, through the agency’s official channels,” the ministry said.
To have stronger evidence, the MINISTRY shared a screenshot of the page “La Tijera”, where “new changes” were revealed in the Basket of the Ruling Family.
The minister of the sector, Betsy Díaz, signed the supposed statement, which was also false. This same source confirmed that there will be no changes to the supply book at the moment and does not guarantee that they will arrive on time, month after month, which remains a major concern for consumers.
Recently this ministry reported on a module “at reasonable prices” for Cuban children of fifteen years old, which will reach almost all provinces, through the supply booklet.
