With the participation of more than two thousand officers in the area, the capital’s Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) deployed the “Safe Stadium” operation at the University Olympic Stadium, for the match between Pumas and Cruz Azul, scheduled at 7:00 p.m. hours of this May 9.

For the match corresponding to the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Clausura 2024 tournament, the SSC will have 893 members of the Undersecretary of Police Operations, supported by 58 official vehicles, eight motorcycle patrols and four tow trucks.

As well as an ambulance from the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squadron (ERUM) and a Condor helicopter, to protect the activities at the sports venue.

Additionally, 1,720 members of the Auxiliary Police (PA) will participate in the deployment, who will be in charge of guarding the entrances, exits, hallways and bleacher area.

For the enjoyment of those attending the event, the SSC issued the following recommendations:

• Anticipate the departure to arrive at the event in time, as well as draw a route and consult road effects.
• Respect traffic lights and instructions from the officials of the Undersecretary of Traffic Control.
• If driving, respect and give preference to pedestrians in the vicinity of the stadium.
• If you arrive on foot, do not use objects that distract you, such as headphones or cell phones.
• Cross streets at pedestrian crossings, as well as on bridges, and wait for vehicles to stop completely.
