The Attorney General’s Office (FGR), together with the Anti-Narcotics Division of the National Civil Police (PNC), reported that this Thursday afternoon the destruction of a total of 1,482 kilos of cocaine will take place.

“In a coordinated process, the FGR together with the Anti-Narcotics Division of the PNC verify the 1,482 kilos of cocaine that will be destroyed today,” mentioned the Prosecutor’s Office through a post by X.

According to the statement provided by the Attorney General’s Office, the drugs that will be destroyed are valued at more than $37 million dollars and were seized last March in territorial waters.

“This incineration procedure will be joined by other drug seizures carried out in San Salvador and Santa Ana, by the Security Cabinet and the FGR,” the institution added in X’s post.
