Criminal investigators detained a man from Razgrad, who recruited and forced women into prostitution, reports the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Ludogorsk.
He is 42 years old. A pre-trial proceeding has been opened for the fact that the man recruited and forced into prostitution a 23-year-old woman from the Razgrad village of Strazhets and a 26-year-old woman from the village of Zhitnitsa, as well as for the fact that he systematically rented premises in Razgrad to women, with purpose of performing sex services, writes BTA.
On July 16, in the course of conducting a specialized police operation for pre-trial proceedings, procedural and investigative actions were carried out at addresses in Razgrad. During the searches, a car, BGN 10,000, mobile phones, flash drives, cards related to the detected criminal activity were found and seized. The same day, the man was detained at the Regional Office in Razgrad for up to 24 hours. The next day he was charged, and today the accused was remanded in custody, adds the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Razgrad.
In July of last year, the prosecutor’s office in Razgrad prosecuted a man for participating in an organized criminal group for money laundering and trafficking in women.
