On August 17, 2021, Iberos Guevara was appointed advisor to the general secretariat of MIDIS. The resolution is signed by Boluarte herself. He held this position until December 2022.
During that period of time, he also acted as a lawyer for Nicanor Boluarte, Dina’s brother, in an investigation that was opened in his capacity as municipal manager of Comas, a position he held in 2019.
According to the Sunday newspaper, Nicanos Boluarte was included in a tax investigation in 2020 for the alleged lack of supervision and inspection of solid waste dumps in that district.
In April 2022, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Superior Court of Justice of Lima Norte archived the investigation against Nicanor Boluarte and the other authorities involved.
Walther Iberos, today’s deputy minister of justice, then appeared as his lawyer and was notified in his capacity as lawyer.
In his defense, Iberos Guevara admitted that he defended the president’s brother while he was a Midis official and said that his participation in the case of the Municipality of Comas was limited to a single procedure at the tax headquarters, after which he had no further participation or knowledge of the subject.
“In August 2021, I joined Midis as an advisor to the General Secretariat, specifying two types of hiring: As CAS Ministerial Resolution N 157-2021-MIDIS of August 2021 and, as PAC from April 2022 to November 2022,” he stated. .
“It is important to specify that my PAC contract was with the Ministry of Economy to provide services in the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, which does not require providing work in an exclusive and exclusive manner, since it is literally a contract for the location of services, it is That is to say, there is no employment relationship,” he added.
