The president of 4iG expressed his interest in communication infrastructure projects, especially the most modern technological investments in order to connect the urban and rural areas of North Macedonia. The aim of the initiative is to improve the user experience and, in addition to sustainability, to support job creation and economic growth, they said.
According to the announcement, Jászai Gellért, the president of the 4iG group, said: they have a serious intention of entering the market, so they will start negotiations with the North Macedonian government in the coming weeks to determine the framework of future cooperation.
The 4iG group is Hungary’s second largest telecommunications provider and leading IT system integrator, with a growing investment portfolio in the space and defense industry as well.
4iG Group entered the Western Balkans telecommunications market in 2022, gaining strong positions in Montenegro and Albania, and then launched its own telecommunications brand, ONE. Under the brand name, 4iG’s subsidiaries in the Western Balkans underwent a successful transformation. ONE Montenegro is now a leader in the market of 5G mobile services. ONE Albania, which was created by merging the Albanian telecommunications companies owned by 4iG, has become the largest converged telecommunications provider in the country.
