Police in Brazil have freed a 39-year-old woman who was wearing 20 years caged inside a room in subhuman conditions. When the agents entered her house, they found her bound hand and foot with ropes and chains in a cell of a few square meters illuminated by a small window that barely let in sunlight.
After leaving the house in a daze, but under her own power, the woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for dehydration and severe malnutrition.
The victim’s mother has been arrested.. According to what she has told the police, she kept her daughter to control her mental problems and her aggressiveness after she lost her two children.
