by time news

While the authorities of Iran are trying to extinguish the fervor of the protests against them that broke out following the death of the young woman Mahasa Amini, today (Monday) the “Iran International” website, which is affiliated with the opposition in Iran, revealed a testimony from a woman who claims that she was in the detention center next to the young woman before she died. According to the witness, the jailers claimed that “Amini is faking injuries in order to be released.”

According to the testimony, when Amini was led into the detention room she held her head and said “my head, my head”, several times. According to the witness, Amini told them that she was severely beaten by the “Morality Police”. The witness said that she heard from others that Amini refused to get out of the vehicle that was taking her to the arrest and therefore one of the officers hit her on the head.

According to “Iran International”, the beating of young women and girls by the “morality police” is not a rare thing, but the coverage of the young woman’s arrest and the reason for the arrest meant that the other detainees there gave her more attention than usual. According to the witness, Amini asked the guards present at the detention center to talk to her brother who was waiting for her outside and explain to him what was inappropriate about her clothing, but every time she turned to them she was beaten. According to the testimony, the last time one of the female guards even grabbed Amini’s head and slammed her on the ground.

According to the witness, after this incident, the other detainees at the place requested that they bring a doctor to examine Amini, but the jailers at the place did not respond to the requests. According to the testimony, the jailers claimed that Amini was faking injuries in order to send her to the hospital, so that she would be released from detention.

Only after half an hour, the witness claimed, a doctor arrived at the scene and discovered Amini unconscious, “when her face is completely white and she is actually in a coma.” In light of the situation, another doctor arrived on the scene, but Amini was no longer breathing, and after half an hour of resuscitation attempts, an ambulance arrived and took Amini to the hospital.
