The 2024 competition obligations for the athletes of the Ioannina Naval Club, who took part over the weekend in the 1st International Evaluation Race at the Olympic Rowing Track of Schinias, began with the… right.
The entries in the qualifiers exceeded all expectations, while, apart from the Greek clubs, crews from Serbia, Sweden, Turkey and Uzbekistan participated, raising the level of competition. The sportsmen and women of N.O.I. they made excellent performances and recorded several firsts, laying the groundwork for them to claim a “ticket” to the national teams. All, however, will be judged in the 2nd Evaluation Race, which will also take place in Schinias on the two days of March 16 and 17.
Stefanos Vlachos, Costas Giannoulis, Ilias Efkarpidis, Alexandros Zarras, Costas Karagiannis, Pavlos Faitas, Leonidas Kopidis, Pavlos Koutsavelis, Dimitris Koutras, Jason Mouselimis, Vassilis Kostoulas, Dimitris Boukouvalas, Anetta Kyridou participated in the NOI mission for the first qualifiers. Maria Kyridou, Nefeli Dara and Lydia Sikalou. Besides, the athletes of N.O.I. also took part in the games. Thanasis Palaiopanos and Zisis Boukouvalas, who were already in Schinias for the National Team’s training session.
