MONTERREY, NL.-An intense police mobilization led to the discovery of a homemade explosive device in the vicinity of the State Investigation Agency (AEI) in Monterrey, Nuevo León, this Saturday.
According to the State Attorney General’s Office, the device was located in a van secured by elements of the Civil Force in the southern area of the city. “Which was transferred into custody, to be made available to a detainee and the vehicle driven by the suspect,” the Prosecutor’s Office reported in a brief statement.

The unit was located outside the AEI building, located in the Urdiales neighborhood. The Secretariat of National Defense was in charge of securing the device that turned out to be homemade, which after being manipulated by military personnel was determined not to work.
