The stadium doors open at 7 p.m
Video surveillance will be used by the police to identify violators of the order during the Plovdiv derby, which will be played on Sunday at 21:15 at the “Hristo Botev” stadium. Anyone caught will be held accountable under the Law on the Protection of Public Order at Sports Events and the Criminal Code. The law enforcement agencies reminded that the throwing of bombs and smoke, as well as fights, are prohibited.
At the established checkpoints, police officers will ensure that visitors who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs are not admitted, as well as for carrying prohibited objects and items – firearms, pyrotechnics, knives, batons, boxes, bottles and others. Persons with imposed bans on attending sports events or minors unaccompanied by an adult will also be returned. The match between “Botev” and “Lokomotiv” is always awaited with great interest by the fans of both teams, it increases the tension between them and for these reasons the law enforcement authorities in the city have identified measures to prevent clashes.
An increased presence of police teams and the Gendarmerie Directorate is planned on the territory of the sports area and in the city, and the officers are committed to the overall provision of public order and a quick response to reports of violations.
According to the order of the mayor of the municipality of Plovdiv, the sale of alcohol on the territory of the sports complex is prohibited.
To ensure the safety of traffic in the perimeter of the football match, it is possible to introduce a temporary restriction for road vehicles in the following sections:
– “Iztochen” blvd., from the intersection with “Princess Maria Louisa” blvd. to the intersection with “Saint Petersburg” blvd.;
– “Bogomil” Street, from the intersection with “Iztochen” Blvd. to the intersection with “Lev Tolstoy” Street;
– “Warshava” street, from the intersection with “Bogomil” street to the intersection with “Slavyanska” street;
– “Lev Tolstoy” street, from the roundabout with “Dimitar Rizov” street to the intersection with “Bogomil” street.
An organization has also been created to provide a route for the movement and escort of supporters of the visiting team. For convenience, they can park their cars on the territory of the “Lokomotiv” stadium and head in an organized manner to the “Hristo Botev” stadium along “Lev Tolstoy” and “Bogomil” streets.
In order to avoid overcrowding, due to the detailed and strict checks, we invite spectators to take advantage of the earlier opening of the stadium entrances – at 19:00.
