They propose recognition to the Community Theater Laboratory “La Línea del Borde”

by time news

The ⁢Bloc of Legislators of the Justicialista Party – Nuevo Encuentro presented a legislative project to declare ⁤the work carried out by the Community Theater and Mental Health Laboratory “La Línea del Borde” of social, health, community, educational and cultural interest. This space⁢ is organized ⁢by the Mental Health Service of the Choele ⁣Choel Regional ⁢Hospital and coordinated by the theater director, actor⁤ and⁤ cultural manager, Pablo Otazu.

The laboratory, which came into operation on 9 September this year, ⁢brings together more‍ than 20 people⁤ including patients with mental pathologies, ‌psychologists, ⁢psychiatrists, operators and the community in general. This space seeks to build bonds of inclusion, understanding and empathy, promoting a more integrative vision of mental health‍ and human‌ well-being.

The president of the Bloc, the legislator Daniele Belloso, underlined the ⁤importance of this initiative: “Community theater has an enormous social value, because it allows ‌us to redefine‌ rights and provide tools of expression to people facing vulnerable situations. “Recognizing this workshop also⁤ means recognizing the positive impact it has⁣ on the self-esteem and quality of‍ life of those who participate.”

The foundations⁣ of the project underline that art, and in particular community theater, is a means of transforming reality, integrating ‌participants into a ⁤collective and supportive space, without distinctions of race, education, social situation or mental health. The proposal is in line with the principles of the national mental health law n. 26.657 and the provincial law “R” n. 2,440, which promote the ‍inclusion and rights of people with ⁣mental health problems.

Furthermore, the project highlights the concept of‍ “Education through art”, citing studies that show its positive impact⁣ on self-perception ⁤and self-esteem. In this sense, Belloso stated:‌ “This workshop represents a model of how public policies can address mental health with an inclusive approach that respects human rights.”

The project also bears the signature of legislators Ana Marks, Leandro García, Pedro Dantas and Luis ‍Ivancich, who⁣ accompanied the initiative promoted by Belloso. The PJ-NE Bloc reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting actions that enhance art as a tool for social transformation and the defense of human rights.

How can individuals‌ benefit from participating in community-based mental health programs?

Interview between the‌ Time.news Editor and Pablo Otazu, Director of the Community Theater and Mental Health Laboratory “La Línea del ‌Borde”

Time.news Editor: Good‍ morning, Pablo! Thank ⁤you for⁣ joining us ‌today⁣ to discuss the inspiring initiative you’re leading in Choele⁢ Choel. ‌To start, could you explain the purpose‍ of “La ‌Línea del⁣ Borde” and its significance to the community?

Pablo Otazu: Good morning! I’m⁤ thrilled to be here. “La Línea del Borde” is more than just a theater project; it’s a safe space where individuals confronting mental health challenges can⁤ express ‍themselves through art. Our main goal is to promote inclusion, ⁢understanding, and empathy within the community. We believe that by using theater as a tool for healing, we can create meaningful connections among participants,⁢ psychologists, and the community at large.

Time.news Editor: It’s incredible to hear how theater ⁢can play such a pivotal role in mental health. You’ve managed ⁢to ‍attract over 20 individuals from diverse backgrounds, including patients and mental health professionals. What have been some of the most rewarding‍ moments‌ for you since the project began?

Pablo Otazu: One of the most rewarding aspects has been witnessing the participants transform through the ‌creative process. There’s something magical that happens ‌when people start sharing their stories and⁢ experiences onscreen.‍ One participant, who initially struggled with‌ social anxiety, ‍has since stepped ‌into a leadership⁣ role within the group, helping others who face similar challenges. ‍These moments serve as a‍ testament to the power of art and community.

Time.news Editor: That’s a powerful story. I’m curious⁤ about the legislative⁣ project presented by the Justicialista Party – Nuevo ‍Encuentro to declare your work of social, health, and cultural interest. How ⁢do⁤ you see this recognition ‌influencing the laboratory and its future?

Pablo Otazu: This recognition ‌is incredibly validating for us. It means ⁢that the⁢ work we’re doing is being acknowledged at a structural level, which can lead to more ⁣support and resources. With official backing, we can ‍expand⁣ our programs, reach more individuals, and establish important partnerships with other organizations. It truly ⁢paves ⁤the way for our mission of integrating mental health care within the community through the arts.

Time.news Editor: It certainly sounds like a game-changer! Given the current discourse around mental health, what message do you want to convey to those who⁣ may be hesitant to engage ⁢in community-based‌ mental health initiatives?

Pablo⁣ Otazu: I want to encourage them to break the stigma surrounding⁢ mental health.⁣ Engaging in community initiatives not only benefits your‌ own well-being‍ but also helps foster a culture ⁢of acceptance and support. We all ⁤have unique ⁣stories, and sharing them can facilitate healing—not just for the ⁤individual, but for the community as a whole. We’re stronger together, and there’s no ⁤shame in seeking help or simply connecting with others.

Time.news ⁣Editor: Well‍ said, Pablo. Your work is truly inspiring! Before we wrap up, what ⁢are your‍ hopes for the ‍future of “La Línea del‌ Borde” and⁢ its impact on ⁢the community?

Pablo Otazu: My hope is ⁢that we can continue to grow and evolve, becoming a cornerstone of mental health advocacy in the region. I envision a future where every individual feels empowered to share ⁣their‌ stories,‍ where mental health services are easily accessible, ⁢and where ⁢community theater is recognized as a legitimate form of ⁤therapy. ‍We’re⁣ just beginning this journey, ⁢and I’m excited about where it will ‍lead us.

Time.news ⁤Editor: Thank you, Pablo, for sharing your insights and⁤ the impactful work you’re doing. We look forward to seeing how “La Línea del Borde” continues to make waves in‍ the community!
