The director of the CICPC, Commissioner Douglas Rico, reported that the detainee deceived his victims through the social network Facebook. The purpose was to exchange USDT on Binance for currencies in cash.

“After finalizing the negotiations and having the money, Edgar Rodríguez sent captures of fraudulent transfers, affecting the economic assets of his victims,” ​​Rico said.

Edgar Rodríguez was arrested in the El Caimito urbanization, Unare parish, Caroní municipality, Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar state.

The fraudster is already at the disposal of the 11th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of Venezuela (MP).
