The incessant blackouts in Cuba have tired its residents, who, this Saturday night, took to the streets of Holguín to protest the terrible electrical service.

In several videos that were published on social networks, you can hear that Cubans banged pots and pans and took to the streets to demand the restoration of electricity, after hours in darkness.

The videos show almost nothing, since they were captured in the middle of the blackouts, where everything was dark.

Apparently, this measure was not followed in many parts of the island, where blackouts that lasted more than 15 hours were reported.

According to the Informative Note of the Electrical Union of Cuba, on Friday the service was affected due to a capacity deficit during the 24 hours and the incapable company has not managed to restore the service and avoid blackouts.

“The maximum impact during peak hours was 1,331 MW at 8:00 p.m., coinciding with peak hour. The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours is 1672 MW and the demand is 2600 MW. An impact on the schedule of the average of 1,300 MW is estimated,” reads the publication.
